Our Story
Built by Georgia B Corps, for the good business community
B Local Georgia started the way most good things do: with a handful of B Corps gathered around a table in 2018, asking how they could work together to strengthen and grow the community. What began as small coffee meetups and happy hours in Atlanta and Athens has become the statewide hub for Georgia companies that measure success by more than profit.
Today, our members include consulting firms, farm-to-table restaurants, coffee roasters, hair and wellness companies, and social enterprises working to expand access to healthy, affordable food.
They show up for one another at mixers and workshops, volunteer together across the state, and celebrate each other loudly every chance they get. When a company wants to join the movement, we are often its first call, offering guidance, mentorship, and a welcoming community of businesses that have made it through the B Impact Assessment and lived to tell the tale.

Why We Do It
Making a difference is good business
Making a profit and making a difference have never been mutually exclusive. Certified B Corporations meet B Lab’s rigorous standards for social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Those standards keep us honest, ensure we practice what we preach, and hold us accountable to our workers, communities, state, and planet.
Becoming a B Corp tells your customers, employees, and neighbors that your business is here to make a difference. It proves that companies can make money, create good jobs, and grow while also having a positive impact on society. Together, we are building a future where business is a force for good, and that is worth celebrating.
