Georgia B Corps™ Giving Back on the Farm

Two Atlanta based B Corps™ combined forces for a great cause in the month of February. Located in metro Atlanta, or ITP as we say in Georgia, Truly Living Well Farm proudly serves its city by “growing food, growing people, and growing community.”

While looking for opportunities to get the Ad Victoriam Solutions team out in the community in 2021, their Director of Culture and Strategic Impact, Nathan Stuck, stumbled across a catchy calling for volunteers on the Hands on Atlanta website: “Come Get Dirty, and Have Fun on an Urban Farm!”

Stuck, who also serves as the Chair of B Local Georgia, immediately spread the word to the other B Corps™. The first morning he was signed up, he was joined by Diane Peoples, VP of Marketing at fellow Alpharetta based B Corp™ Decisely. The two had such a rewarding time, Nathan digging holes and planting trees and Diane moving two enormous piles of mulch, that they quickly started organizing events with their teams. Throughout the month of February, Ad Victoriam employees volunteered on three different occasions. Decisely held a company volunteer event at the end of February, braving the dreary weather to pull weeds and help get the farm ready for spring planting.

As certified B Corps™, both companies have giving back built into their DNA. As Decisely’s CEO Kevin Dunn told us, “we’re a firm believer in business being used as a force for good, for both our communities and our employees. It’s rewarding to know that we can get our team together on a day like today and share this experience together.”
